lego-christmas-ornaments-bookAnother day, another book list!  This time I’d like to tell you about two books from No Starch Press for kids who like to build and create–that is, for kids who love LEGOS!

The first would be a great gift even before Christmas, because it’s The LEGO Christmas Ornaments Book! It’s a charming collection of easy-to-build projects that’s perfect for anyone looking to put a LEGO touch to their tree this year.

And what an array of Christmas memorabilia! From a LEGO Christmas tree, to ornaments, a snowflake and a wreath and a gingerbread house–fifteen projects in all, each with step-by-step directions. They’re so cute I’m going to include a few photos here:

Who wouldn’t like to find The LEGO Christmas Ornaments Book under their tree?

geeky-lego-craftsThe second title is like the first, but even bigger. GEEKY LEGO CRAFTS: 21 Fun and Quirky Projects features more advanced projects, like Hazmat Place Mats, a Zombie Pencil Holder, a Sword-in-the-Stone Paperweight, and a Lady Liberty Fish Tank. I think my personal favorite is the Bearskin Rug, but the Mounted Deer is pretty cool, too!

There are 21 projects in all–and so many of them are useful items for a student’s desktop or around the house.

Oh, the fun on Christmas morning!
